Expressions from our Speech Therapists:

Therapist 1: The thing that I love most about speech therapy is helping my clients grow and become independent in their ability to communicate. I love collaborating with families and other professionals to find the best possible solutions for each client and watch as the client gains confidence in their communicative abilities. It's wonderful to work with a variety of people, build relationships, and laugh daily. This field is amazing because it provides the opportunity to build relationships with clients, caregivers, and other professionals and it pushes me to grow my clinical skills and be the best clinician possible.

Therapist 2: I love meeting and getting to know each individual that is on my caseload. I enjoy collaborating with both families and other disciplines for optimum usage carryover of strategies. I chose this field because I am passionate about helping and providing care to young individuals (and their families) so that they are better able to communicate with their caregivers and peers in a variety of settings.
